I stumbled on a tool today that I actually tried out. I had previously bookmarked it apparently, but hadn't gotten around to exploring Screenr. The basic premise is that it allows you to create 5 minute long screencasts and then post them to Twitter. I've done one here on creating custom sections in Google News. Particularly noteworthy are two features... a bookmarklet allowing you to create a screencast on the fly and a publish to YouTube option. It seems to take forever to publish this video to YouTube, but nonetheless, it's an easy way for one to create tutorials or tours of web sites and publish them without a lot of fuss. Here's an embed of my first attempt at this! While I am posting, if anyone knows how to stop my YouTube channel from automatically playing when you visit this web site, please let me know!!
